This session has two distinct parts.  First, we will go through troubleshooting tech problems.  Nobody wants to run to the ITHelpDesk every time they have a tech issue.  What problems can you solve on your own?  What problems require the help of an expert?  Learn troubleshooting 101. 

Then, for those interested in improving their typing skills, we will look at the program "Type to Learn."  The network version is available to everyone on campus.

Differentiated Instruction

Research in the Digital Age

Come learn about the online databases that are available to you and your students.  Much more is available than many people know.  This is especially true of the online databases that are accessible free of charge through Oakland Schools.  We will check out MeL - the Michigan e-Library and other resources in the "Reference and Research" portion of the Academy Start Page.

Evaluating Online Content

This session will help you and your students evaluate online content.  It will cover the topics of decoding web addresses, locating the owners of web sites, finding out who links to a web site, viewing sites with different versions of the "truth", and much more.  Come learn the grammar of the Internet.
