Tablet PC Training, Part I
and II Dates & Times:
Monday, Aug 17, 8:30 am - noon and Tuesday, Aug 18, 8:30 am - noon

Designed for people who are
entering the Tablet PC Phase of our Mobile Technology Program, this is a
two part workshop. Monday, August 17 will focus on becoming
familiar with the Tablet PC and trying out two pieces of software that
take advantage of the ability to write on the tablet screen. Tuesday,
August 18 will explore the inking capabilities of familiar software,
provide curricular examples, and give people a chance to plan how they
might use the Tablet PC in the upcoming school year.

Acceptance into the Tablet PC Phase of the Mobile Tech Program

Moodle, Part I and II
Dates & Times:
Tuesday, Aug 18, 12:30 - 2:30 pm and Thursday, Aug 20, 12:30 - 2:30 pm

This workshop is for faculty
and administrators who wish to set up their own Moodle sites. Moodle allows for
secure discussions, private journals, uploading assignments and more. This
two part workshop focuses on discovering Moodle's uses in Part I
and setting up your own Moodle in Part II. You must attend both
sessions to set up your own Moodle. In addition, there will be
some fun online activities to complete between Part I and II of the
workshop.

Sharing Notebooks Using
Microsoft OneNote (NEW!)

Wednesday, Aug 19, 8 - 10 am

This workshop is meant to
help those who are considering using shared OneNote notebooks during the
upcoming school year with either students or colleagues. Microsoft
OneNote allows an individual to set up a notebook that is shared with
multiple individuals. A change made in the shared notebook is
transmitted to everyone as soon as the person connects to our server.
Great for Upper School teachers who wish to share notebooks with
students and also adult community members who wish to share notebooks
with other adults.
Prerequisite:
Some familiarity with Microsoft OneNote
