PhotoStory

PhotoStory (a free program) allows you to create a show-and-tell presentation using your digital photos. Once a PhotoStory has been made it can be posted on the web, emailed, or burned on cd or dvd. If a student can use a mouse, he/she can use PhotoStory.

Photoshop Elements--Selections and Layers (Updated)

This workshop will focus on making selecting parts of images and combining them with other parts.  In other words, we will be making composites. Learn how you can combine photos. Sample images will be provided.

Prerequisite--Introduction to Photoshop Elements or equivalent knowledge; NO WALK-INS; LIMITED CLASS SIZE

Designing Tech Integrating Lessons

This session is meant to help educators integrate technology into their teaching by taking their subject matter and examining where technology can be used to increase retention and/or efficiency of instruction. 

This workshop contains core material for the Mobile Tech Program. Educators, please attend one of the two sessions.

Podcasting and Audio Editing

Find out how to record and edit audio with software you already have on your machine. Audio snippets can be emailed, inserted into PowerPoint productions, or incorporated into web pages. Make MP3 files or burn CDs. Imagine students recording dialogues for foreign language classes. What if students recorded their own poetry, created oral history projects, or conducted interviews to playback during class.

We will also examine the phenomena of podcasting and consider podcasts that would be helpful for teaching and learning.

Tablet PC Sharing Session

During this February meeting, people will continue to share experiences that will benefit others in the Tablet PC Program.  It might be something done with students or something tried in terms of professional practice.  It might be a long term project or a small item.  The important part is to share.
