Microsoft Publisher can be used to make a variety of publications--newspapers, pamphlets, signs, banners, etc.

In this workshop, you will be guided through the process of creating simple publications and in the process learn the basics of this easy to use desktop publishing tool.

Digital Cameras & Scanning

Learn important concepts when taking digital photos and scanning pictures.  Get hands-on experience taking photos and transferring them to your computer.  Also, learn about a set of digital cameras the school has for classroom use.

Photoshop Elements (Updated)

The Academy recently updated to Photoshop Elements 5.0.  Learn new features of this program as well as the basics if you are a "newbie" to the software.  This hands-on workshop will have you apply quick fixes to photos, resize, crop, layout images and print photos.  We will do a variety of images together and then you will have an opportunity to work on your own photos. Please have images available on your hard drive or the server if you wish to work on your own photos. Sample photos will be provided for those that don’t have images.

Tablet PC Sharing AM Session

By popular demand, this is our first morning sharing session for Tablet PC users. We will share experiences that will benefit others in the Tablet PC Program.  It might be something done with students or something tried in terms of professional practice.  It might be a long term project or a small item.  The important part is to share.

"Check Point" for Mobile Tech'ers

This session is a self-evaluation of your efforts thus far in the Mobile Tech Program and a planning session for the future. We will also ask for your feedback on the Mobile Tech Program. Any remaining time will be spent on “tips and tricks" and your questions.

All Mobile Technology Program Participants that are new to the Program this school year are asked to attend one of the two sessions.
