Creating a presentation in PowerPoint is a lot easier for you and much more interesting for your audience if you know some tips and tricks.  Learn of some of the hidden features in PowerPoint that can make your life easier.

DyKnow Vision

DyKnow Vision allows teachers and students to interactively share, annotate, save and retrieve material during and after class. Other features include the ability to conduct polls and transmit PowerPoint slides to students.

Tablet PCs provide the optimal environment for the use of DyKnow.  We are piloting this software tool with faculty members that use the tablet carts or teach Grade 9 students.  If you want to be in this pilot group, come to this session.

Please no walk-ins; session requires software installation.

Tablet PC Sharing Session (WEBINAR)

During this meeting, people will share experiences that will benefit others in the Tablet PC Program.  A suggested focus topic for this session is uses of the Tablet PC in mathematics. 

We will use a software program called GoToMeeting to conduct this meeting via distance.  You need a mic and headset for the session; you can borrow one from Dino if need be.

"23 Things" ASH Faculty/Staff Need to Know About Web 2.0 (New!)
 
This session is an introduction to a program that
encourages faculty and staff to experiment with Web 2.0 tools that are applicable to education.  Participants will independently complete 23 little exercises or "things" during the program at self-scheduled times.  Learn more by visiting the blog setup for this program.  All participants that complete the program by March 23, 2010 receive a free USB/MP3 player.

"Check Point" for Mobile Tech'ers

This session is a self-evaluation of your efforts thus far in the Mobile Tech Program and a planning session for the future. We will also ask for your feedback on the Mobile Tech Program. Any remaining time will be spent on “tips and tricks" and your questions.

All Mobile Technology Program Participants who are new to the Program this school year are asked to attend one of the two sessions.
