Picasa--Easy Photo Management

In this workshop, we will use a free program called Picasa to manage and edit digital images.  Picasa makes editing images simple. You will be amazed by what you can do with this free piece of software. (Please have images available on your hard drive or the server if you wish to work on your own photos. Sample photos will be provided for those that don’t have images.)

Michigan Electronic Library

Have you ever heard: “I can’t find a book on the topic you gave me!” or “I couldn’t get to the library to get a book!”  Come to this workshop and get a good look at  MEL (Michigan Electronic Library) and other resources that can be use for online research.  MEL puts printed material online for students. Best of all, these resources are free.

Tablet PC Sharing Session

During this November meeting, people will continue to share experiences that will benefit others in the Tablet PC Program.  It might be something done with students or something tried in terms of professional practice.  It might be a long term project or a small item.  The important part is to share.  A suggested focus topic is classroom uses of Microsoft Journal.

Intro to PowerPoint 2007

In this workshop you will learn to use PowerPoint as a presentation tool. You can use PowerPoint to augment a lecture, create a slideshow of images, make an archive of student projects, and much more.  This workshop would also be useful to people that need to transition from the 2003 to the 2007 version of PowerPoint.
