Evaluating Online Content
Based on Alan November's "Teaching Zack to Think"
presentation, this session will help you and your students evaluate
online content. It will cover the topics of decoding web addresses,
locating the owners of web sites, finding out who links to a web site,
viewing sites with different versions of the "truth", and much more.
Come learn the grammar of the Internet.

Excel in (and out of) the Classroom
Some people think Excel is just for math teachers
and accountants. That's far from the truth. Excel has many useful
applications. Also, the new 2007 version of Excel is even easier
to use and more helpful than previous versions. See how useful
Microsoft Excel can be for you.

Tablet PC Sharing Session During this meeting, people will
share experiences that will benefit others in the Tablet PC Program.
It might be something done with students or something tried in terms of
professional practice. It might be a long term project or a small
item. The important thing is to share.
A suggested focus topic is classroom uses of
Microsoft Journal.

Photo Story
Photo Story (a free program) allows you to
create a show-and-tell presentation using digital photos. Music and/or
voice narration can be added too. Once a Photo Story has been made
it can be posted on the web, emailed, or burned on CD or DVD. If a
student can use a mouse, he/she can use Photo Story. (It's a great
alternative to PowerPoint if your focus is photos.)
