Documenting
Technology Professional Development*
Starting this month, the tracking of technology
professional development will be done via Microsoft OneNote. This
paperless method will be a huge improvement over our previous process.
It does require some training, however. This session should last
no more than 30 minutes. (If you wish to stay later, you can ask
general questions about OneNote and specific questions about sharing
notebooks in OneNote.)
*Required for those working on
their commitment to the Mobile Technology Program. If you cannot
make one of the four dates, please email Dino and we will
determine an alternate date. |

Communicating with GroupWise
(Updated)
Everyone uses GroupWise to
communicate in the building, but there are plenty of little known
features to the program. Workshop topics include retracting emails, adding a standard closing, creating
your own distribution lists, and archiving emails.
Updated this year, we will cover using GroupWise's
calendar tool and importing events from the school web site.

Computer Care
Starting the school year off
right, this workshop covers proper care of laptops and tablets.
It's a great workshop for those new to our Mobile Technology Program and
those that need a refresher on keeping their machines running without
issue.

Tablet Sharing Session
For our first tablet sharing session of the new
school year, we will start with any questions people have about their
Tablet PCs. As it's a sharing session, we will also share our
successes with the tablets, big and small. Time permitting, we
will explore some of the more hidden features of Microsoft Journal.

Teacher Web Sites on
ASHMI.ORG
Create a classroom web site on our official
school web site. Set up your own classroom calendar, bulletin
board and classroom resources such as handouts and web links. This
workshop is also useful if you need a refresher on editing your web
site on ashmi.org.
