"Buying a Computer" A lesson plan developed using the

Lesson Overview This lesson has the overall goal of helping high school students make wise choices when purchasing one of the more expensive items in life—a new computer. Students begin this project by specifying what they are looking for in a new computer. Then, they search for three computer advertisements that meet their needs. Individual price limits will challenge students to be thrifty consumers. The lesson concludes by students selecting the best machine for themselves, after comparing various aspects of the three computers. This lesson was developed using the NTeQ model
which provides a framework for creating learning environments in which
the computer is used as a tool in realistic learning contexts. (To
